About the role

We are excited to offer a Research Analyst Internship at Kulea, where you'll have the opportunity to work closely with our data scientists. This role is designed to help you sharpen your data analysis skills, master various research methodologies, and gain valuable insights into industry trends and forecasts. Throughout the internship, which lasts between three to six months, you will be immersed in hands-on projects and benefit from interdepartmental collaborations. Job Description

  • Data Collection & Preparation: Collect data from relevant sources, clean it, and prepare it for analysis.
  • Data Analysis: Apply suitable statistical techniques to analyse data and generate valuable insights.
  • Data Modelling: Identify suitable methods to model specific datasets to unmask trends and make predictions.
  • Problem Framing: Translate business requirements and objectives into concise data science problems, aligning data solutions with organizational goals.
  • Effective Communication: Ensure effective communication regardless of seniority, to achieve project objectives.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the team to ensure the successful accomplishment of company objectives and goals.

Required Skills

  • Strong Data Expertise: Demonstrated proficiency in data collection and analysis techniques, enabling you to extract valuable insights.
  • Expertise in statistical analysis, computing, machine learning, and deep learning.
  • Experience working with large datasets and the ability to process them efficiently.
  • Strong data wrangling skills.
  • Data Visualization: Exceptional data visualization skills using tools such as MS Excel, PowerBI, or other statistical software to communicate insights effectively.
  • Statistical Languages: Proficiency in using statistical languages, such as R, Matlab, SAS Enterprise Miner, and Python for data analysis and modelling.
  • University degree in data engineering, statistics, actuarial science, economics, mathematics, and related fields.
  • Candidates with a Diploma or Higher National Diploma with vast experience in a similar role will be considered.
